The Old Testament was the Bible of Jesus, Peter, Paul and all the early Christians. When they refer to Scripture, they mean the Hebrew Bible or what is today our Old Testament. Teaching from the Old Testament – following the example of Jesus and the apostles – is therefore essential in order for disciples to grow and mature in their knowledge of God’s Word. “Introduction to the Old Testament” will help the learners to gain new and deeper insights into this amazing inspiration from our God.

The seven classes will (1) paint the big picture of God’s eternal plan for humankind, (2) provide a deep understanding of God’s covenants with Abraham, Moses, David and His People throughout the ages, (3) highlight the Exodus as watershed element of God’s people and its fulfillment through Jesus, (4) introduce the role of the prophets in God’s plan of salvation, (5) inspire through Israel’s Worship and Wisdom, (6) and teach about access to God – in the ancient times and today.

Prayerfully this class will convey much new knowledge about the older and larger part of our Scripture, inspire much faith and lasting convictions and instill a deep desire to learn more.
